  • For the area of rolling hills and farmland, it's great to have this park with a forested covered hike. Pretty steep hike, but not long, kids of all ages could manage. Good for a hot day, picnic area i...  more »
  • Yes, we all love those rolling green Palouse hills that stretch on for miles, but what happened to the trees? If you need a tree fix and a nice view of this fascinating area, I would recommend this lo...  more »
  • Kamiak Butte is the go-to park to test your running or hiking mettle in Whitman County. The view from the top is lovely all times of the year. I love the run up, taking the left hand trail. Stop and v...  more »

  • This park has it all: a small camping area, a playground, bathrooms, trails, and a hike with spectacular views. It's a county park so no rip off ten dollars fee. Plenty of picnic tables, including one at the top. Reasonable $15. Fee for camping. Go now April/ May for the flower show. Super clean, friendly Rangers.
  • Picnic tables and a playground for the kids makes for a fun place to hang out. The hike to the top is not too strenuous and my three year old makes it easily. Beautiful views from the top!
  • Great hike to the top (about half an hour) and beautiful views of surrounding rolling fields. Many wildflowers in June when we visited. Small secluded campsite on first-come-first-serve basis.
  • Three different loop trails. Nice parking, picknic, and camping spaces. Fantastic views of the Palouse, and forest shade.
  • Beautiful place for a nice, easy hike. A little bit of a climb, but not bad.
