  • The day we visited was sort of windy for fly fishing the lake. I ventured up the feeding river to find awesome trout filled holes the fishing was technical because of the tight canopy but well worth t...  more »

  • We packed a picnic, paid the $6 to get the car in, and took a walk around the lake! We brought books, but we were more caught up in reading the signs about the local wildlife around the lake. We had s...  more »

  • Wonderful camping experience! I suggest a 4x4 with some decent ground clearance, but there is enough side of the road parking and you can walk in to the camp sites. The camp sites themselves are fairly clean and decently maintained, considering it's dispersed camping. Highly recommend it! Very close to Bishop Castle too!
  • BEAUTIFUL area a must see. Bishop's Castle. Lots of walking and lots to see. Beautiful when it snows.
  • Beautiful little jewel of a lake/campground hidden in the mountains ! Very clean, well spaced campsites, with picnic tables and fire rings. Well behaved dog friendly, clean restrooms in camp by the lake 😍 $ 20 overnite camping, $6 daily fee. Small campground but very well shaded for most all sites and QUIET !
  • Really great place to camp. lots of rocks to check out. Cool collecting spots for Peridot and some Gold in the rivers and creeks. Had a Fun time!
  • What a great place to get away from it all. Cool, brisk mornings, warm sunny afternoons, with late afternoon showers to cool it back down again. Breezes through the aspen trees, chipmunks scampering across the ground chattering at one another, hummingbirds darting from one flower to the next. Plus the occasional deer and big horn sheep may just cross your path.
