Race Point Beach, Provincetown
(4.7/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web)
Find crystal clear waters, sweeping sand dunes, and pure white sand off the beaten track at Race Point Beach. The beach gets northern sun all day long, so it's popular with sunbathers. The shoreline drops off quickly so it may not be ideal for casual swimmers, but upside of this is that you may see sailboats or whales close to shore. The beach is prone to big surf, making it a favorite for surfers. Be aware, this area is known for strong riptides and undertow--only strong swimmers should attempt time in the water here. • splendid walk on the beach with my dog. Met lovely people. Bundle up the wind will be whipping! Parking is available and there is a handicap route in for wheelchairs.
  • Fun to show to visitors who don't get to see the sea often. Sand, wind, water combine to instill wonder at coastal living.
  • No other sunset takes my breath away like Race Point. No place revives my soul like Race Point. I traveled a bit over 300 miles solo just to see it.
