  • There’s lots of good information/history of PTown. Hiking up to the top of the monument is the highlight for the views.  more »

  • Climb to the top of the monument and be rewarded with an amazing view of Provincetown and the harbor. Be warned though, it takes awhile to get to the top. The climb is made easy by a series of ramps as opposed to stairs. When you think you might be close to the top, keep going, because you're not. Don't look up or down in the stairwell if you are afraid of heights like me. I made it to the top though, and so can you. Parking fee comes off an admission to the monument. There is a gift shop and a small park with benches to relax in. Bathrooms are available as well as a nice view of P-TOWN from the base of the monument.
  • I was surprised how much it costs to go in and the fact you have to pay for parking on top of that. The climb to the top of the monument isn't too bad as there are a lot of ramps instead of stairs the whole way. It can be climbed in 5-10 minutes. The view from the top is great as you can see every direction of Provincetown. The museum is pretty small and probably better for children, but still interesting. Everything is very clean.
  • Was here on the first day that they were open for the season. We got to visit the museum and climb the tower for free. That was a pleasant surprise, as were expecting to pay. We did purchase items from the gift shop. The tower has great views of Provincetown and Cape Cod. You can even see the Boston Skyline in the distance. There is no elevator to the top of the tower, you have to climb the stairs.
  • Its a good hike up, but its a combination of 3 or 4 stairs then a ramp, repeated many times. Got my pulse rate up! View from the top is well worth the effort!!! Also MUST do the museum/exhibits also worth the effort. Loved the whole experience.
  • Great view from the top! The trip to the top of the monument (252 ft) is via a series of stairs (116 steps) and 60 ramps. Not as bad as it sounds...trust me, I made it to the top with no problems! I highly recommend visiting the monument and the museum.
