  • We live near here so not our first choice but due to weather settled on this. They were fully booked so didn't get much choice in site but got lucky that someone had cancelled. The park is very well m...  more »

  • One of my favorite SC parks. The location is awesome and has incredible views of Lake Murray all the way around. We camp here often even though we live close by. My only complaint is its so popular its very hard to get a weekend campsite!
  • The site is real nice. Just be aware that you really need to have a boat to fully get all you can. The trails are nice but all pine and oak trees overlooking the lake. Not much variety. I couldn't find the playground. The cabin was nice but not cleaned like a hotel room. Doesn't bother me but my wife had comments about it. If you are traveling with a clean freak keep that in mind. I had a three bedroom cabin. It was spacious and had all the things you would need for a few days stay.
  • I always enjoy taking the kids here. My only adice is to call ahead and reserve a shelter we always get one with electricity and water for the radio and the kids rinsing off after the lake.. very relaxed and we can bring the dogs
  • It is a pretty place, but it was very over-crowded it took us hours to get a place to picnic. The camp sites are booked out through the entire summer and there is no designated place to swim. I do not think I would go back without a boat. The shoreline is very rocky and inaccessible in places.
  • Wonderful place. Recently moved to the area. And brought our kids for fishing and playing and it was great.
