  • If you are looking for a private campsite off by yourself, this isn't the place for you. All the camp sites are very close together. Having said that, I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was at night being so close to others. Besides that, great views, and very clean bathrooms and showers. Nice roped off swimming area with gradual grade out into the water with a dock to swim out to about 100' off shore. Equally fun for the little ones and teenagers.
  • Pros: Sunny most of the year, clean, excellent bathroom & shower facilities, swimming area is excellent (complete with a dock to rest on), close to town, friendly staff Cons: Not a fan of dirt tent sites (although, it is the desert ;) Fantastic campgrounds! Clean, well kept, and enjoyable all-around! My family and I like coming here & enjoy the warmth and relaxation. We love the water and, being right next to a reservoir, there is always something to do: boating, fishing, swimming, etc. I would recommend this campsite to anyone who wants to get away for the weekend and enjoy the warm sun!
  • Stayed at 3 different primitive camp spots, not only were each of them completely uneven, but no grass whatsoever, except where you weren't allowed to place your tent. The spots were rocky and EXTREMELY dusty so all camping equipment was completely filthy. When you do treck the distance to the showers, you receive cold water and by the time you get back to your spot and sit for 5 mins, your dusty and dirty again. For the price, I was totally dissatisfied!! Stay if you want to slide out of your sleeping bag hitting jagged little rocks all the way down.
  • It's absolutely beautiful the water temperature isn't as cold as you think it would be plenty of fish can fish from the banks there's free spots to swim with sandy beaches Super mellow coves and all around a good time.
  • This is an absolute must see. If you drive to the Reservoir, take the road from Prineville and follow the Crooked River. The drive might be the most scenic drive you've ever seen.
