  • A year ago, I’d have given this place 5 circles. It’s a very pretty vineyard. Super fun to come with a group, do a tasting, then buy wines and relax at a table. Listen to live music, enjoy good food (...  more »
  • Running Hare Vineyard is in a beautiful area of Calvert County Maryland Very nice tasting area with plenty of room inside and out for tasting and enjoying Good place to bring along cheese and crackers...  more »
  • What makes this winery special is the atmosphere. Opinions from our group are mixed regarding the wine, the service, and the tasting experience (if it's busy it's hit or miss). But we each found a win...  more »

  • We love this beautiful little piece of paradise! You'd never guess when you pull down the drive what a huge stunning vineyard this is. Many good times and great music but quiet enough that you feel cozy. Bring your own snacks or lunch, they don't mind a bit. We feel like we are in Tuscany!
  • Running Hare was the first and only wedding venue that we visited. I fell in love with it. They made planning very easy and recommended the perfect caterer to help make our wedding day perfect. You have to buy 4 cases of wine but we didn’t mind. Our guests drink lots of wine and the caterer made a delicious sangria with their Jack Rabbit red. It was a magical day and worth every penny.
  • First time to this particular winery and LOVED it. I usually stick to the wineries in VA so I decided to try Running Hare this past Sunday with my fiancé and we really enjoyed it. The wine tasting was nice...a mix of reds and whites with a little something different for every palette. The staff really took it to the next level for us; they were so knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and hospitable. After the tasting we purchased a bottle of wine and sat in the picnic area to enjoy live music, which they have on the weekends. You can bring your own food as well. There is also a beer garden if you like the best of both worlds. The vineyard reminds me of Italy. Definitely try this place out! I will definitely be back with more company :)
  • I visited this place in 2010 when they first opened and it was one of the most peaceful and welcoming places on the east coast. I did not like the DMV area until I found this place. It makes me want to drive from Dallas just to get that feeling again, great wine, great music, great people. Keep up the good work! xoxoxoxo
  • perfect venue for a wedding or a girls day out... $10 tastings aren't bad. The wine is pretty good
