  • Spent the weekend recently, enjoyed it very much. Beautiful views, enjoyed the hiking and the fishing. The lake is beautiful. The cottage was small but clean and a decent size for 3. The mattress coul...  more »

  • Our lodge room was deplorable; no one seems to care about the lodge since the fire. We stayed in KSP in the 80's and 90's and the were wonderful; not again for JWR. Room was musty, no air/heat, screen...  more »

  • We stopped in around 2-3pm to get food. We had the Buffalo chili, Buffalo chili nachos and catfish. The catfish is by far hands down one of the best I've eaten so far. Tasted fresh, nice and flakes. The chili was alright, I think it could use some spice to it, but that's probably my personal preference. The fries were not good at all, beware potato lovers. The nachos is an absolutely huge portion, which I have no complaints about. The waiters were nice and helpful but even though there was only us and one other tale the wait staff seemed to be awfully busy or it at least seemed that way. All in all it was nice to sit outside and eat on a good fall day and like I said the catfish is A+
  • We had a family reunion here, renting five cabins and the Pines Building for two days. Had a very good time and the staff were very helpful. However, we stayed in cabin 407 and there had to be something dead in the kitchen. I searched all over, because you could hardly do anything at the sink or stove without the stench prevailing. I forgot to mention it to the staff on our way out, but hoping they noticed it when they cleaned, though they missed it when they cleaned before us. Beds were very comfy, and AC worked great in the cabins, though it had a hard time keeping up in the Pines Building during the afternoon, where we would spend the day.
  • lov jenny wiley .i walk thrre every morning.nice people beautiful.place
  • My wife and recently enjoyed our first visit to the Jenny Wiley State park, all I can say is what a beautiful family friendly place. If you enjoy good old-fashioned southern hospitality, the friendly staff here provides it. Great food, and a great place to take to family for a enjoyable relaxing vacation.
  • Concierge is under construction due to a fire in the spring. Check in room is temporary yet available 24/7. Pool is clean. Lodge rooms are clean yet dated. No microwave or refrigerator in room. Thermostat hard to understand. But, someone always available and willing to help. Park rangers are very nice and respectable as long as you respect the park. I would expect nothing less. Outdoor theater is located behind the restaurant. Very active musicals going on every weekend. Golf course is tiny, but sufficient . Location is convenient to Prestonsburg and shopping.
