  • My wife and I enjoy lighthouse hunting and viewing. Most all are interesting in their own way. This one is no exception. The history and artifacts at most lights are enough to take up half a day. This...  read more »
  • This lighthouse offers great views of Lake Huron. The grounds are kept up very nicely and it was just a relaxing stop. We spent a little time down along the coast before heading out on our way.

  • A day before Memorial Day and the crowds are absent, well maintained and history abound. The fog took a little time to lift but the wait was worth it. "And the great ships sail outward and return, And ever joyful, as they see it burn, Bending and bowing o'er the billowy swells, They wave their silent welcomes and farewells" Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
  • It was a lot of fun, really fun to climb and see the few from the top, and the history of the place in the museum was amazing, a lot of history there.
  • Nothing matches the beauty and the history of the TWO Presque Isle Lighthouses. Both have been restored, both can be climbed, and both offer history lessons to anyone interested about the Great Lakes. The park areas and hiking along the Lake Huron shore are unparalleled. Events occur throughout the summer months, and the gift shops and museum are filled with items that encourage and expand on the history of the area and lights. Visit Presque Isle!!!
