  • The total area is more than 580 acres, but I believe this includes the water park and adjacent golf course. The zoo itself covers more than 400 acres - that's a lot of zoo and a lot of walking!! But i...  more »

  • I absolutely love this zoo. It is huge with so much to do. Lots of activities and hands on learning. Plenty of places to eat if you don't plan to pack and lots of restrooms. Be prepared to walk a bit. The exhibits are stretched out some but we didn't mind. My children had a blast and we will definitely be going back. The place is clean, fun, affordable, and the staff is very friendly.
  • Outstanding zoo One of the best and largest zoos I have enjoyed attending. Most habitats are on the larger side with many attempts to leave the concrete floors and walls behind, allowing the animals to have a more natural looking environment. The zoo is involved in multiple reproduction programs and rehabilitation programs. Divided into different regions (Africa, Asia, North America, etc.), the zoo allows for single day or multiple day exploration.
  • Loved it!! We were there 5 hours and didn't see everything because they were closing. There were several spots closed off, not sure why. The food prices are outrageous but you can bring your own food in so no biggie. Worth paying for the free ride wrist band. We were definitely go back!
  • Large zoo; wear comfortable shoes. Always packed on good weather days. Attractions are well designed however many of the interactive button and features no longer work. Will recommend bringing snacks as food is definitely overprice. Everything is basically overpriced but that's kind of a given . Overall great place to be.
  • Great place. Not from Ohio, just visiting family, but we spent an entire day at the zoo and another entire day at zoombezi bay. The zoo has really great volunteers who will fill you with as much information as you can take. They have not only nice animal exhibits, but great 'shows' like the cheetah run and plenty of encounters and hands on stuff for kids. My favorite was the kangaroo enclosure where you go in and you are right there with the kangaroos.
