  • Visiting family on a very cold day for March. Suggested an afternoon for the kids. Worked out nicely. Plenty of fun things for the 4 year old. Some things for the 1 year old. Although crowded there wa...  more »

  • It's really not that impressive if your kids are pre-teen n older, so stick to visiting here if you have youngsters. The planetarium is pretty cool, but once again only for lil guys say 2-7. I believe...  more »

  • Great to spend 3 hours. Pretty small but has a lot to offer, for all kinds of ages! My child is 15 months but enjoyed every singel moment there! Go eat in the River station after that, 5 minutes walking on the water, really nice.
  • This is an amazing children's museum!!! Not sure why there are poor reviews. We live in NYC and are here in the Hudson Valley for a getaway and this place is significantly better than Manhattan's Children's Museum. My daughter is 3.5 yr old and couldn't get enough. She loved both floors and was very sad to leave. I think this is a great place for any child over 18 months. Maybe upper limit is 7 or 8 years old (Probably enjoy the building your own speed track and ramps). Downstairs: Fire station area which is big hit, large kitchen, grocery store, art studio, construction area where kids can try to screw nails and use wrenches and arrange pipers, large train set, and more. Upstairs is geared towards STEM with cool marble run, Magnatiles, rocket launchers, levers etc. If we lived in the area, No doubt have a family membership here.
  • Very small place, like 4 rooms total, upstairs and downstairs each have two rooms. The target age range is somewhere between 3 and 8. They do have a small area that younger kids can play in, but it looks a lot like an afterthought. Older kids are going to get bored very quickly. My 7-year-old was happy to stay for a few hours. My biggest disappointment was that there were a bunch of exhibits that were broken or just didn't function the way they should have. Missing pieces, lack of any kind of instruction or guide, just very hit and miss on the exhibits. It mostly seems like a pit stop for tired parents who are in the area. Definitely not a destination.
  • Absolutely fantastic. We took our 2 year old son and he had a BLAST. Plenty to do and play with. The stations were very clean all things considered. The only con is it is pretty expensive for four rooms of activities ($8 a head). The location is also a huge plus with plenty to do afterwards.
  • Bring my kids there every week and it's a great place for them to learn. The family membership is a great value.
