Falls Road Golf Course was completed in 1961 on 150 acres of former farmland east of the Village of Potomac. The layout offers scenic rolling terrain with 4 sets of tees, generous fairways, and large greens. It has a great mix of holes: the front nine is a parkland type course and the back nine is more tree lined. The course measures slightly more than 6100 yards from the back tees and plays to a par 70: it provides an enjoyable test of golf for players of all abilities.Plan my day in Potomac using traveler tips and tourist information provided by Inspirock.

Falls Road Golf Course Reviews
Falls road golf course is a local gem. Great course, interesting layout, well-kept. Prices can be a bit high but are generally fair for the area. more »
The course is only 10 minutes from our home and gives a great senior rate for those over 60. Also, if you live outside Montgomery County, you still get that rate. more »
I have avoided this course because it always looks so busy, so I was pleasantly surprised when I finally played. It is a short course, but it is challenging enough. It is not surrounded by houses, and... more »
I played at Falls Road Friday and was very disappointed with the pace of play. I have two very young children and barely have time to get out on the course anymore. On Friday my round took around 6:10 minutes. Major con = Pace of play. The greens had just been aerated but overall the course was in excellent condition. The course Marshall (who was a lady with short hair and an aggressive tone) kept harassing us telling us that we were a half a hole behind. We were a group of four and there was a group of 2 in front of us. It's hard for a group of 4 to play as fast as a group of 2, and regardless there was nowhere for us to go yet she must of stopped 3 times to tell us in a very unfriendly manner. The group in front was waiting 5-10 minutes per shot. On a positive note, the starter was able to get me and my friend out without us having a scheduled tee time after the pro shop said they couldn't get us in for 3 hours. Another positive note, I birdied 3 holes in a row, first time I've ever done anything close to that. Bottom line: The course is in good condition, the Marshall is aggressive and unfriendly, and the pace of play is incredibly slow. I will give FR another chance because it is so convenient as I live very close by, the course is nice, and for the most part the staff is friendly and pleasant.
I definitely think that these guys should really add more amenities to the place. This will give kids something to keep them busy as the parents play golf. I also hope that they try and improve on the cleanliness of the place. All in all the place is not really that bad.
What was once a good course is now pretty lame. They redesigned the course about 8 to 10 years ago to make room for the driving range and club house. In doing so, they cut a few holes down from par 5s to par 3s and left this course a shell of what it used to be. I could care less about the clibhouse, don't ruin the course! I don't go back more than once every couple of years as the course is now just a weak place to play.
Course is in great shape and usually is however; saying the situational awareness capabilities married with the overall professionalism of the course marshal(s) being less than competent, is an understatement.
Horrible experience at this course. Purchased golf lessons from one of their golf instructors Brad Patterson. Paid for 5 lessons for $300. Never returns my calls, has made it impossible to set up a lesson. Staff at Falls River has not been very helpful at all. Would not recommend anyone go here. Wish I could give negative stars.
