  • This lovely Georgian house was home to three families right at the centre of it all. It's a fascinating story and the tour was comprehensive. The gardens are a delight and worth a stroll.  more »

  • Fantastic tour. Such a great place to visit and experience some local History.
  • One of the best historic house museums in the country. Fantastic collect of period furniture, ceramics, artwork, and personal items. Home of one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, William Whipple. Beautiful garden in the back. Great interpretation of colonial history and one family's impact on state and national events and history. A must visit when in Portsmouth.
  • A Terrible Wedding Venue The two women who run the house are miserable creatures. If you have an issue with people using your space for weddings, why open yourself up to the trouble? The entire experience was agonizing, from getting yelled at for putting a piece of furniture on the grass to cleaning up all the tiny pieces of cake on the dirt left by the front road. Each interaction with Marsha and Barbara was more rude than the last. They have no class, tact, or respect for any other human being. Do not waste your time, money, or energy at this place.
