  • Visited the Portsmouth Children's museum when they had reciprocity if you had a Norfolk Zoo membership so it was a great deal. Took my 3 yo (almost 4) granddaughter. So much to do on all levels. For e...  read more »
  • This place is fantastic. We took our 1 1/2 year old and there was plenty for her to do at her young age. Place seems clean and it wasn't overly crowded. In September Zoo members get in free!
  • We have been to many children's museums nationwide and this one has to rank in the top 5. Many of the attractions are typical, such as the city street with a pretend bank, grocery store, etc, as well ...  read more »
  • My kids loved the Children's Museum!! So much for them to do. We spent the day there and could have spent more time. Only wish they had some where to get food or drinks. But 2 floors of fun and great imagination play. My kids didn't even realize how much they were learning :-) highly reccomend taking the kids for a day trip.
  • One of the best interactive children's museums we've been too. There is something for all ages. Very clean and the staff was super helpful and knowledgable. There were so many different exhibits, we spent all day there. I highly recommend as a mother of kids ages 10, 7, 3 and 10 months.
  • I had the pleasure of being asked along to the Children's Museum when my son's class went. I had a group of 4 children, and there was plenty to keep my excited group of 6 year olds busy. We had a limited time, and I tried to make sure we saw it all. Some stations were bigger hits then others, with the favorite being the bubble area. The children stand in the center, and slowly lift a hoop upward, if done correctly, a bubble is formed around them. They also loved all of the Air pressure displays, like a rocket, and beach ball you could direct with an air cone. I'm happy with how clean this museum was, and how many of the stations were actually functional unlike other museums. We only came across 1 station that did not work, and it was because a missing part they believe went missing earlier that morning. We plan on going back over summer vacation, and hope to have a similar experience.
  • I have been taking my daughter to this museum since she first learned to walk. the good thing about this place is its fun for adults too. its so creative and interactive that every child that walks in probably sleeps GREAT afterwards!!! now that my daughter is 3, when we go she learns so much that anytime she sees her friends, the museum is the only things she talks about! haha!
  • It was just an ok experience for my family with 2 and 4 year olds. I thought it was much bigger than it actually was but it's not that big. Most activities or exhibits weren't that great and they should have at least 4 times more toys or play things available so every child can enjoy. My kids had to leave after a minute on many occasions throughout the museum. They should not charge adults $11 each or charge like $5 for everyone. It is really not worth paying all that money for this place. I won't be back again.
