Valley Scenic Drive
A fertile valley just outside Portland, Willamette Valley cultivates Christmas trees, hazelnuts, beer, and wine. Located along the Oregon Trail, the valley and its rich soil became part of the Oregon Territory. Drive through scenic rolling hills and stop at microbreweries and wineries, such as the Coelho Winery. The warm summers and cool winters play a role in the agricultural richness of the area. Because of the inviting climate and other features, 70 percent of the state's population calls the area home.
