  • The brewery has been growing over the years and the facility is deceptively large now. The tour is OK, pretty plain vanilla compared to Sam Adams or Goose Island for example. The tour ends with some s...  more »

  • The food is great. This place is a true brewhouse. Tons of experimental beers to look forward to along with the trusted Hef. Even the Hefewizen tastes better here: so fresh. Take the tour- great (non)tourist activity!!
  • My daughter and I have been coming here for years before Winterhawks games and has been a staple 30+ times per season. Over the last year or so they have really paired down the menu and gotten rid of some of their best fare. The remodel has left the front bar area extremely loud, and the prices have surged 30+ percent or more on food. The beer cheese soup is still second to none, and the beer is great, unfortunately it's not enough to make it our full time pre-game staple anymore.
  • Great service but over priced beer and food. Similar to McMenamins, They are running on reputation not the quality of the food nor the price of their beer. I ordered a Lamb burger. It really tasted like beef. I did complain and the server did go to the manager who said it was lamb but would give me something else in its place. That was a nice offer, but I ate it. Trust me I eat a lot of lamb and beef and as stated this was not 100% lamb. I would give it a 20 % lamb and 80% beef. But the soups were fantastic, both the beer cheese and the spicy red pepper. (Which is why they did not get 2 stares, I do not plan on returning, too many other great restaurants.
  • This place is a great spot to visit for the simple fact of being Widmer Brothers home brewery. Whether or not you believe their brand has "sold out" or not, they were still created and grown locally in Portland. Historically important to the present reputation Portland and the state of Oregon has for excellent microbreweries. It's actually not as big as one would think coming from such a big name. It's small, yet intimate and has a lot of pictures from the beginning of the brothers ideas and first attempts. The food was good, but didn't blow me away. Yet, brewery food isn't supposed to, is it? It's not expensive and you already know the beer is great. Give it a try if you're visiting or a local! It's worth a visit.
  • Good food. Very cool to try some other delicious beers that they don't bottle but widmere makes. HEFE one of my favorite beers.
