  • First time hit the United States, and in particular, in Portland, in 1997 year. Upon his return to Russia when I was looking for a quick answer to the commonly asked question "what is America?", seemed best this response: "it's another very interesting civilization". Again, the impression it was in 1997, the year when Russia has not gone very far from the Soviet Union. Since then, a lot of times he visited with his family in Portland, drove the entire Oregon from North to South and from West to East and the first impression was confirmed more and more. A little better understanding what this country and how people live there. I realized that my perception of this country were very, very naive. A visit to the United States proved to be very important for the understanding of the human place in nature. (Formerly had to visit in Europe). Oregon and Portland in particular, is the jewel of the Earth. And people living on this earth, serves an excellent example of the interaction between man and nature. The rose garden is a very small particle beauty of Oregon and Portland. During several hours away by car, you can visit the ocean and mountains with snow caps, majestic forests or pastures Tillamuka with a slight tantalizing smell of cowshed. You can enjoy nature, or creations of civilization. The wonderful climate. Already in January the Camellia blossom and spring is a continuous Garden City! In the mountain resort near San River magnificent ski slopes in March. You name it:-) in this brief message.
