Neighborhood
Pearl District features art galleries, restaurants, boutiques, and upscale residences in former industrial buildings. In this district just north of downtown, you can see many of Portland's iconic spots, such as Powell's City of Books. Free outdoor concerts and festivals often fill the parks. Ecotrust offers live shows and workshops daily, which are very affordable, if not free. Consider riding the Portland streetcar to get here from the downtown area.
