  • Charming and sweet little amusement park by the river. Great for any age. The rolling skating rink has an old Wurlitzer they still play on certain days. It is such a wonderful feeling of old time family fun. I love the atmosphere. Dog park near by also. Come keep this little charmer alive with good clean fun for all in the beautiful Oregon outdoors.
  • Great pricing, lots of smaller rides for toddlers. Teenagers kept busy on the bigger rides. Decent food pricing, or pack in your own lunch. The park has been continuing to update over the past couple years. In the past it was getting very broken down and in need of maintenance. They have done a great job making it look beautiful.
  • The staff was friendly and the rides were meh. We went to the fourth of July event. They charged $6 a head to get in which is usually free. At the end of the fireworks we waited in the parking lot for (no lie) 2 hours. We did not move an inch. If you're going to charge people for an event, you should take that money and put it towards staff for traffic control. Piss poor planning on their half. The police had to come down and do it when they could be doing something better. Oaks park you're just a County Fair open year round. Checked that box and won't go back.
  • Portland's oldest active amusement park! 1/2 scale trains circle the main arcade; a real carnival midway (complete with carneys); a small rollercoaster, and other well-maintained rides, targeted for all ages. Concession stands for all the regular food and treats (AND with moderate prices). Pleasant, well-groomed park personnel. Well-maintained buildings and grounds. Large grassy areas for group events, and shade trees galore. Right on the Willamette River, the park has a full-sized roller skating rink, that is equipped with flotation devices to float the rink floor in case of flooding, thereby helping to keep it intact. The park is large enough to accommodate the County Fair each summer.
  • Great place to spend a Saturday. Priced reasonably and rides are fun with friends. Been coming here for years, it's a must for summer break.

Where to stay in Portland

For easy foot access to Portland's best shopping, dining, and entertainment, stay in or around the downtown area, connected to the rest of the city by light rail. This compact and busy part of Portland contains the highest concentration of hotel rooms in the city, allowing you to explore options ranging from boutique properties to big chains. Thanks to Portland's convenient transportation system, you can also choose a less expensive motel or bed and breakfast in one of the outlying neighborhoods, and still be within minutes of most major tourist attractions.
