  • Man, I thoroughly enjoyed the beers and food at HOTD. I had 6 beers and a plate of sauteed vegetables. Everything was tasty and I can't complain about anything.  more »
  • I love that the breweries have to be brewpubs too, got a good lunch, fish sandwich, and beer for my first stop in Portland.  more »

  • Beer is great! Their stone egg beer was some of the best beer I have ever had! Atmosphere was great as well. The only problem, and its a big problem is their food. It is so bad. How bad? Do you like Salt? Well that's what your food is going to taste like, straight up salt. If they nailed the food, this place would be gold.
  • Food was not fresh, seemed reheated. Pretty gross. Good beer but how can you mess that up? Building itself is cool.
  • My favorite brew pub in Portland. The tap list is ever changing. Beers from the wood and the stone make for a good change of pace. The food is also really good. Get the duck wings, get them spicy, change your life. Getting a full tasting flight is a fun thing to do, just bring a friend or two.
  • The beer was only ok. They had some interest flavors but none of them were my favorite. Our server was very nice and had great beer knowledge. I didn't try any of the food.
  • I'm giving this place the benefit of the doubt. This was stop number 4 for the day and it was incredibly warm inside due to the ridiculously nice weather, so I may not have had much enthusiasm left. Tried Little Dog, Rose, and aged Greg (I think). All seemed to be quality brews, I just may have been too warm and one stop too deep to appreciate them.
