Where to stay in Portland

For easy foot access to Portland's best shopping, dining, and entertainment, stay in or around the downtown area, connected to the rest of the city by light rail. This compact and busy part of Portland contains the highest concentration of hotel rooms in the city, allowing you to explore options ranging from boutique properties to big chains. Thanks to Portland's convenient transportation system, you can also choose a less expensive motel or bed and breakfast in one of the outlying neighborhoods, and still be within minutes of most major tourist attractions.

  • Had to take home a bottle of Cherry Bomb because it's so delicious! You really can't go wrong here; Bourbon, Rum, whiskey, vodka... it's a win all around!  more »
  • Celebrated a milestone by sampling local Oregon spirits. Our server was well versed. We got good information. Samples were tasty. We also purchased a cocktail and both were very good.  more »
  • I was able to taste 6 samples of Eastside Distilling's products from vodka, rum, and whiskey for $5. There is also a show room to purchase bottles directly if you like the tasting.  more »

  • We had an amazing experience at eastside distilling. The tasting was great, our guide was very passionate and super nice. And we were able to leave with some great priced booze and merchandise! Would highly recommend making it into your Portland plans. Close to Christmas they had a special eggnog liqueur there!
  • Awesome location with really friendly staff. We asked for a tour, which apparently they don't typically do, but one of the employees came out and explained the entire process and their equipment to us in an impromptu mini-tour. I highly recommend the liqueurs ginger and coffee!
  • We had to leave and come back twice as there was not enough people to handle the tasting for more than one group at a time. It seemed not well planned. On a plus I had a very laid back area inside the store for lounging and sipping.
  • Their tasting session is very informative and delicious. You must buy the Espresso bottle. Delicious in coffee with Bailey's.
  • Stopped in and did some tasters on a Saturday and glad I finally did. It's a nifty and small location and the tasting is at a great price (especially if you get the distillery tour package that they have with a lot of the other local distilleries). The thing that holds back from 5 stars is some lack-luster service. Nothing was bad, but there was no conversation to be had with the staff, meaning they weren't very friendly. They were helpful and not rude, but it would have been nice to feel more welcomed.
