  • We popped into Bridgeport for some lunch and a cold beer. The burgers here are great, as is, of course, the selection of beer. It's a big place and is apparently Portland's oldest craft brewery. The a...  read more »
  • By this time, we were full into rush hour on a rainy Wednesday but heck, we didn't care. It's October! Plenty of good beer and cider too. We spent our last stop sitting outside with the radiant heater...  read more »
  • I've had Bridgeport several times but the brewery has so much more to offer. There were a lot more beers to try compared to what you can find in the store. The place was relaxing and very comfortable.
  • Quality beers from Oregon's oldest craft brewery, surprisingly good northwest cuisine, friendly atmosphere in a renovated factory building on a cobblestone street. The streetside patio is a great place for watching the brew cycle pedal by. A fun place to hang out and have a cool one.
  • We held our wedding ceremony here in the Heritage Room and were extremely pleased with the experience. We worked primarily with Kaili as the event coordinator, and she went above and beyond to keep us organized and on track with the event planning, while enabling us to customize every detail. The staff was terrific, including the other event coordinator, Barb, as well as the waitstaff and bartenders we worked with on the day of. Pricing was fair and communicated clearly upfront and throughout the process. Of course, last but not least, the food and presentation were perfect. Large portions of tasty food, and we were able to work with Kaili beforehand to make sure our guests' various dietary restrictions were met. BridgePort did so much to give us a wonderful wedding day, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of venue. :-)
  • The warm spinach and mushroom salad was great, especially with chicken added. The beer selection the night I went was a little light with only two rotating taps of the three spots filled, and then five staple beers. The beers are pretty good - I think the Low Ball is the standout for me - but there are other breweries in Portland that I enjoy more for the beer. This is definitely worth a visit though.
  • Bridgeport is conveniently located across the street from my job. I've been here for months and never knew that they serve food. Honestly, the nauseating smell I get every morning, I found out comes from the brewery. I don't drink at all, so maybe that's why I find it so smelly! With that being said, I took a chance and went for lunch (to go) and ordered something I'm familiar with, the Shepard's Pie. I've eaten Shepard's Pie my whole life and never tasted anything like that before! It was waaaaay over cooked and it was made with shredded lamb! I'm not even sure I want lamb anymore after that. Not to mention, I paid almost $15 for it!! Too bad, I tossed after 1 bite. Honestly, the hostess was so nice, and they are so conveniently located, but that food was some of the worst I've ever had! I'm nervous about going back, because if they can destroy a simple meal like Shepard's Pie, I'm scared for the rest of the menu. I know every place is not for everyone, so I'm guessing this place is not for me. There are other eateries that have really good simple food in the area. Let's hope their beer-drinkers think the beer is worth going there for. Good luck!
  • BridgePort is located in an amazing location. Part of the fun of visiting BridgePort is exploring the building. They have a very diverse and delicious collection of beer that is brewed on site. My favorite thing at BridgePort, however, is their pizza. Everything is made from scratch, and they are all named after local bridges. They have wonderful meat and vegetarian options. BridgePort also offers a wonderful event space. If you are planning an event in the future, whether it be board meeting, wedding, or something in between check them out. BridgePort can be a very busy place on a weekend evening, but I've never had to wait for a table. I didn't, however, always get to sit in the area I wanted. It is also not a quite place. Parking can be a bit of challenge too since BridgePort is in the heart of the Pearl District. Be prepared to walk a few blocks after you finally find parking. And, parking is very likely to be metered. Consider parking a little farther away and taking the trolley as part of the adventure. Near the main entrance they have a great little gift shop area, check out their t-shirts!
