  • We had a canceled flight & knew our hotel had no food available. What a delight to have a lobster roll & New England Clam Chowder & MY GREAT Blueberry Draft Beer. Seadog/ Shipyard Brewing Company. Who...  more »

  • A really cool brewery with great souvenirs can be bought there in the entrance area. Should you visit in any case, if you're in Portland. There you can in the back of different beers at the self service bar to buy and drink, which when we were there, was very well attended. Not far away, you can eat delicious, Belgian fries, fried in duck fat with "Duckfat".

  • Pretty cool; they have plenty of beers to check out. We liked all the beer we sampled and it was fairly cheap! We even purchased and filled a growler for $10!! I think my only beef is that they cut off over half of thier space for merchandising. This is by far the busiest brewery around due to the proximity to Old Port; a lot of people are left begging for a place to sit or even stand to drink. They should cut the merchandise in half and open more room.
  • Really cool brewery was unable to do the tour. The atmosphere is lively and fun. The beer was decent and very affordable, there was also a cool gift shop for all your beer needs.
  • Stopped in for a quick beer...tasting room was rustic and well lit with nice decor. They have chalkboard glass holders that you fill out with your beer choices and take up to the counter that make it real easy to create a beer flight. So cute, creative, and efficient. Nice place to stop if you're in Portland and like beer!
  • I really like shipyard beer so it was great that one of our friends got us in for a tour. I was surprised to find out it was in the middle of downtown Portland. I don't know how many times I must've passed by the place. The tour was small and very informative. It was really cool to hear about shipyard and how to brew beer. After the tour, we got beer flights. I loved almost every single one. They're sooo good! This tour made me appreciate them more.
  • Beer is good. Especially the barrel aged smashed blueberry. However, the service is in major trouble. We showed up a little after 6p in the tasting room, which advertises 7p as close, and were informed they already did last call. They made an exception and poured us two tasters. While we sipped our 8oz of beer, the staff rushed around like mad trying to wipe down tables and clean up, while commenting on areas they couldnt clean up because guests were still around. Quite uncomfortable. Really a shame, because some of the beers have potential.
