  • Great walk for the whole family! Park at the farthest south parking lot and walk the pathway up to the lake and head back along the River walk! Beautiful view of the lake and a good hike for the dog!  more »
  • This is a nice place to take a little walk and unwind. The views are nice. They keep it pretty clean. Sunsets are beautiful here. I do wish it had better parking as it tends to full up rather quickly ...  more »
  • A great place to walk trails, enjoy beautiful Lake Michigan, and watch the sunset! No concessions available, plenty of parking.  more »

  • Worse beach for water activities. I hate the way Burns Ditch empties out into it. Similar design as New Buffalo but I give New Buffalo a pass because it is more beach resort vibe with more activity and people.
  • My favorite place to go for sunsets in Portage. Neat little walking/biking trail from further up the road and the pier is always nice to check out.
  • I found this awesome beach one day when I was lost and have been going back for the last five years all the way from Chicago.
  • Tried to get to this park, but the GPS didn't quite have the entrance correct. The entrance is a little further west from the address in the Indiana guide book. Then it seems like you are entering a factory, but if you persist, you will get there. The pavilion is beautiful, the breakfront is a nice walk, saw a heron catch a minnow. People fished off the breakfront. The beach looked fun, but we didn't have swimsuits. The dunes are closed so go the the Dunes state park if you wish to hike.
  • Great place for a sunset!
