  • This park is right beside Hwy 101. It is easy to find but suffers from road noise in some campsites. There are two major sections to this park. We chose the camping ring closest to the ocean. There is a trail from the campground to the ocean beach. The trail is fairly level, sandy and not a long walk. The sand is soft near the end of the trail. You cannot drive to this beach. It is only accessible via the trail. The campground is older with large trees and green grass. Camp hosts on duty in the campground. Junior Ranger program daily. Some sites are shady, but others are not. Free, hot showers and flush toilets. No playground but great beach. Humbug mountain hiking trails nearby but no RV parking for trail heads. Power and water sites and tent sites. No full-hookup. Brush between some sites for limited privacy. Other sites had no privacy.
  • A very nice quiet park tucked away at the base of the Humbug mountain. Very nice facilities and sites. We would love to come back and hike more when the weather is sunnier. It was a nice easy hike to the secluded beach.
  • Such nice people. The shower/bathroom was clean and cheery. It felt safe there, even as a woman traveling alone. The only negative was ambient highway noise, but since this was a last-minute and desperate for a place to stop kind of opportunity, I would do it again.
  • Nice camp grounds, short walk to beach. There is electric and water hookups and central showers. Well worth staying here.
  • Great camping but it is a bit close to the road. Traffic volume at night was a bit more than I'd have liked.
