  • I was a little hesitant to make such a long detour from Highway 101- we were on a limited time schedule after all, however it was SO worth it. My wife described the roadway as something that belonged ...  read more »
  • This park doesn't take reservations so you take your chance that you will get a camping spot. If you wait too late in the day, you might find a full camp. We found our spot and stayed two nights. The ...  read more »

  • Wonderful Oregon State Park! Great campground close to the point and the lighthouse. Good beach access and several trails along the bluffs. On a clear day the views are amazing.
  • Photographers: This Oregon State Park with a lighthouse is wonderful place for sunset images. Follow the trail from the campground to the cliff that overlooks the beach. The lighthouse is directly north oat about the same level as the cliff you'll be standing on. The setting sun provides great side lighting on the lighthouse (depending on the time of the year). You may need a longer lens if you want to make the lighthouse the primary subject of the image. Or, go a bit wider and capture the beach and cliffs in the frame. By the way, the state park is a great place to camp or RV camp. The facilities are first class and showers are available for a small cost too! Steve J. Giardini Photography
  • If you like wind n more wind, this is the spot 4 u! Great area for camping in the state run campground. Lots of yhings to do like walking, hiking, biking, etc.
  • If camping in the artic is your thing, this is the place for you. Clean campground and great hosts. The downside is, it's cold. We visited mid August and it was low 50s mid day, foggy and a constant cold wind. We were told by the hosts it is always like this.
  • Great spot. First come. First serve. Windy, fresh and beautiful. Great for the kids.
