  • Typically, National Parks have nice visitor centers staffed with friendly rangers and this one is no exception. Good way to get information before heading into the park.  more »
  • Very helpful ranger and staff. We bought our National Park pass here. It was very busy and I do think they could benefit from another person to help keep up with the traffic.  more »
  • The kids had a great time in the discovery room, spent an hour there. Lots of info and gift shop was nice. Clean and updated restrooms!  more »

  • Ranger supervisor Molly was more focused on listing every regulation and law by the book than encouraging people to come in to get information on campsites and current conditions. No wonder backpacking without a permit is so common. Yes, you need to tell the public what the rules are. But if you want the public to adhere to those rules, perhaps work on establishing and maintaining a good rapport with those people as well.
  • I had a good time here. I was coming from the West side of the park so I had already gone to a Visitor center over there and was just stopping in to get my passport stamp. As is the case with nearly all NPS visitor centers it was clean and felt safe. There were some displays about habitats and climate and of course this is where you get wilderness permits and trail reports which is the primary purpose of this visitor center. I didn't go in the park this time but I spent a lot of time in this park a few years ago.
  • I don't really know if I can describe this place in a review. It's just flat out breathtaking everywhere you go. It has endless trails and places to discover. Everything is picturesque and beautiful beyond belief. I wouldn't recommend staying here for fewer than 2 days - you'll really miss out on all the natural delight that this great state has to offer.
  • Very well appointed visitors center. Definitely check out the Olympics if you are in the area! The forest gives off the illusion of going back in time.
  • This is a ginormous National Park. It is definitely now one of my favorite National Parks. There is so much you can see and do here. I went to three parks and I will talk about them briefly and include one picture from each spot. I saw the rainforest which was awesome and something completely different from everything I have seen before, this was my favorite part. I also saw the beach, with the rocks with trees growing on them, which was a fun little walk, and there was a bald eagle there. Finally I went to the hurricane ridge trail, and let me tell you it was freezing, but the views were good! This is an amazing national park and you should definitely go.
