A... read more »We were very surprised when you visit the route 66 Museum, which jewel hidden in the 1st floor of the same building. There was Museum was founded by the wife of a veteran of the 2nd World War. Based on this private initiative, she could win her husband and many other supporters, who have gathered many exhibits or donated over the years. Original uniforms and equipment can therefore be seen. This museum but receives its special value through the personal stories of war veterans who still care for this museum. So, the son of the founder run the Museum, who served in Viet Nam today. By means of photographs, telling details and stories of his own terrible experiences and that of his father and and and... Conclusion: The special values of this museum is located in the personal contact with the veterans. While along the route 66 lots of clutter and kitsch is to see, here is a little gem that is easily seen over that but definitely worth visiting is! Really enjoyed the visit to see this museum. Liked to see all the uniforms displayed from the various wars. Well worth the stop. Well done.
Great war museum with hundreds of exhibits. There is no charge for museum but feel free to donate. Always great people to answer all your questions.
