  • We enjoyed the museum. We learned some interesting information on some of the towns we had been to on our way from St. Louis. Unfortunately the museum does not update things such as when places close,...  more »
  • How can anyone ever get a big enough dose of Americana? You can't, especially for the admission price of FREE. I highly encourage you to make a donation while you are there. Lot's of neat little artif...  more »
  • Mandatory visit in this town. pity that the Museum was closed. In fact I remind everyone who ask me advice on this amazing trip along the Mother Road to arrive on the sights before 17:00 ... CMQ despite that I liked.

  • This entire town should get the recognition it deserves! And the museum and other things to do in that little town are amazing! We met the mayor and if he's anything like he was to us, I'd like to see him run for president! I can't wait to go back there again!
  • First of all, why would you drive by a town called Pontiac without stopping at the Route 66 Museum? Great memorabilia and it's quite large. Nicely displayed. Admission is by optional donation. Helpful staff. Glad I stopped.
  • Cool stop. The museum was open at 9:30 on a Sunday morning
  • We had a great time visiting all the museum's in Pontiac. Best part about it they are all free. They do accept donations.
  • Great little place to visit. 3 stories of floor space to visit. Each floor is something a little different. The building is an old firehouse that was converted. On the back of the build is the Route 66 Mural. And if luck the Bob Waldmire Bus.
