  • Before leaving Daytona, we decided to visit the lighthouse, because in a rainy day little more needs to be done in the area. We find ourselves with a perfectly preserved place and educational and very clear explanations about the history of the place and its inhabitants. For less than $ 7 per person, we spend about two hours visiting all rooms which includes the complex, including how not, own lighthouse, whose quite inclined stairway rewards the visitor with wonderful views of the area. When you go there, you get the feeling of having transported for a few hours at other times, when life in Florida was quite painful and even a little further, when he was still Spanish territory. Highly recommended.

  • Lived in FL for 38 years and visited Daytona many times but some how missed this gem of an attraction. Beautiful, well maintained and interesting  more »
  • Went to the lighthouse as I love to photograph lighthouses, it is very nicely cared for. The entrance is $6.95 per adult and those funds go to the conservation of the grounds and the lighthouse.  more »

  • This is a nice place. Very well maintained and one gets an excellent View from the top of the tower and on a good day you can see very far away points. The museum is small but gives a good account of historical data points of the light house. One can spend easily 60-90 min. Only caution, if one is not physically fit, climbing 293 stairs up may throw some challenge.
  • It's definitely worth the sacrifice off going all the way up on the light house. Beautiful view. It will for sure give legs ache next day though. It is also worth watching a short movie in one of those little houses in the property, which i good even for children for it's simplicity. The movie tells the history off the light house in a simple but captivate way. We went up there during the day and went back for the sunset. The admittance wrist band is valid for the whole day, so if not removed one can come and go as pleased.
  • This was so amazing! Lots of climbing! Not for the faint at heart. I won't lie it gets tiring and kind of claustrophobic. However if you do make it to the top, the view is worth it!!! The gift shop has a lot of cool items! There are many different buildings on site that are part of the museum. They make it interactive with voice boxes that give you info, and even have a scavenger hunt.
  • Wonderful place. Great for snorkeling. I found a really expensive pair of goggles here. I love going here to cook out, find cool stuff, look at beautiful salt water and brackish fish. It's great for fishing and net catching. My family has had some really good times here, but watch your picnic table because someone will occasionally try to take it.
  • A must-visit in our opinion. First time back to the beach in six years and this was on the top of our family’s must-do list! This is a place where memories are revealed AND made! History is preserved unbelievably well here and we are proud to support the ongoing conservation efforts by spending some extra vacation money at the lighthouse. I did learn on this visit that UAVs (drones) aren’t well-liked by the staff and though there is no information posted online nor any physical signs on the property, you will be asked (nicely) to cease flying immediately. I was kindly invited to come back after hours to fly.
