  • We stopped in to kill a few hours with the kiddos. The touch pool was under renovation, the tickets were only like $2 a piece. Super cheap way to have fun for a few hours and where the little ones out...  more »
  • This place is wonderful, 6 adults and a 5 month old went here and really enjoyed the exhibits. Kind of underwhelming, but the work they do here and the education they provide is great. I will go here ...  more »

  • Great inexpensive place to take the family and learn a little bit about some local wildlife. The animals there are mainly those that cannot be released in the wild. They usually have a presentation of one of the animals in the classroom. One of the times we were there they highlighted and owl and this last time we were there they highlighted the six foot long snake. There's a stingray touch tank for the kids and adults, they also have some tanks there for viewing. They also rehabilitate Tate Turtles and there are a few birds in the sanctuary. It's a great place to visit to use in conjunction with going to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, there are some nice lunch places nearby, a small ice cream shop, and the beach is only blocks away.
  • Walking up to the door you get to see some of what's inside, once you get to the counter to pay we found out that they are only charging$2 per person since they are renovating. It's small but really neat inside, they have a classroom with some amazing things, there's several nice size fish aquariums with fish that you don't see in other places. One of the neatest items they have is a really big, with a lot of detail, mosquito. The turtle area is really neat to watch how they have rescued and rehabilitated all of them. It will worth the little bit of money.
  • We visited here while on vacation. The touch tank area was under renovation so they were only charging $2 for admission. There are some tanks set up with different types of fish, and other aquatic life. The sea turtle rescue area was very informative. There is also a nature trail with an observation tower that you can check out. The staff was extremely informative and very friendly.
  • What a cool place to visit after a short drive south from Daytona Beach! There is parking right off the main street (Lighthouse Dr.) in the area. There a numerous nature walking paths with one leading to an observation tower. At the actual science center, there are a few rooms with numerous exhibits! They have all sorts of facts and information about tons of different species. They have local fish, turtles (including rehabilitating sea turtles!), and other sorts of aquatic species here. It is very kid and family friendly, with them also having a few “touch tanks”. They have a tiny gift store between the entrance and the exhibit gallery. This place does get a little crowded but overall, it is without a doubt worth visiting if you are in the area.
  • I bought one of my favorite shirts I have come this gift store! It is a great place to visit with family. The gal that was walking around with us was extremely kind, nice, and helpful. This is a must stop every time we come to Florida. We're from Kansas and will absolutely be back next time we're are around!!!
