  • We visited during mid-week, so a non-busy time. Arrived at 9:00 am and were the first down the trail; we had planned to arrive at 8:00. Had it to ourselves for 30 minutes. Not a difficult hike...  more »
  • Beautiful hike. Glad we had our walking sticks. The leaves were just starting to change in late September. We would do this hike again.  more »
  • Hawksbill Crag is an amazing, bucket list kind of hiking experience. The hike itself is up and down a handful of ravines and across the bluff summit. It's rocky, steep in some areas and tree roots...  more »
  • Nice trail to the view point. Visitor center lady told me someone walked over too close to the edge a few weeks ago... view is the same a few feet away from the edge so enjoy safely. Also someone said it’s about 2 miles round trip, I think it’s much shorter. Expect to drive in unpaved road(fair condition)for 6 miles
  • Beautiful view on Whitaker Point. Wear comfy shoes and weather appropriate clothing. I’d also recommend bringing water and some protein snacks. Not too strenuous, but take care & don’t go alone bc it can be slippery and no fences or ropes are there for safety. There’s usually someone out there who can grab a pic of you on the cliff. Worth the view.
  • Moderate hike to an amazing location of outlooks, views and impressive cliffs hanging over there valley. Trek is suitable for older children, as places are rocky and hilly, not too strenuous, but can be slippery when wet. Hike features forests, streams and views. Trailhead is on a dirt road (easy to miss) several twisting hilly miles from pavement. Parking can be very busy, be certain to pull off to the side and not impede the traffic flow.
  • This is one of the most stunning and romantic spots in Arkansas. Its an absolutely amazing view of the valley below, with a (long) but ultimately rewarding hike. It takes about 2 hours assuming you find a decent spot for your car. So bring some fuel, the trail is pretty steep, though there are few if any difficult portions.
  • Nice hike on wooded trail. Does have slight inclines, crosses small creek if wet weather. But the views are a fantastic reward at the end. Definitely worth seeing.
