  • Full disclosure - my family loves to visit lighthouses. We decided to spend the weekend at Point Arena in the Headmasters quarters. It is frequently windy on the coast and our visit was no exception. ...  more »

  • The most memorable stop of our drive up the California coast. Lighthouse was very cool to see and lots of information about lighthouses the operation of them. We stayed over night at the lodging and I think we were the only people there. It was quiet, quant and very romantic. The room was small but sufficient and slept with the window cracked hearing the waves all night. AMAZING!
  • Tallest lighthouse that you can walk/climb up to. What an experience being at the top with 360 views of the area. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra few dollars and go to the top. It is worth it.
  • Very informative and interesting tour! Be ready to climb 100+ steps to get to the top though!
  • Classic lighthouse, good store, great museum, has a 1st order Fresno lens on display. You can climb the tower.
  • Amazing place a must stop and see.
