  • Felt like our own private beach. Visited during the weekday so maybe that is why it was not crowded.Or maybe I'm just used to Morro bay and Pismo where the beaches are always busy.  more »

  • Very very beautiful place. Well maintained very very clean. Absolutely friendly staff. Quarter mile from Manchester State Park Beach 9 to 10 miles north drivable access to the beach. Ice cream socials very nice Community feeling at the KOA. Got back to camp after 5 p.m. found that the grey tank was full six year old granddaughter first time rving and they made a special trip with a Honey Wagon to help us out.
  • Family camping next to the dunes. I liked the vibe there, quiet but not too. The dunes are very pretty, it has a trail that runs through it to Manchester beach. You can hear the sea from the tent site, which ia very calming. We spotted two deers (a mam and baby) in the dunes in the morning.
  • One of my favorite KOA"s. We come here with our family almost every year. We've stayed in the kabins and we've stayed in tents and every time we go there it is amazing. The staff works hard to make it a fun stay, with movie nights, hay rides, ice cream socials and karaoke. This place also has a pool and jacuzzi! The walk to beach is also not far 3/4 of a mile I believe.
  • An absolutely wonderful campground! No, it is not a paved, premier RV Resort, but it not supposed to be. It is in the pines near the ocean. Terri, the owner is the best. Everyone is friendly and eager to make your stay a great one. From campfire rings to evening campfire gatherings with ice cream, it is relaxing for families and the older generation alike. There is even a very nice community kitchen with stove tops and bbq's. It is a little ways to Mendocino, the wine country, and Gualala, but it is worth it. Make it a several days destination. We are already booked for 9 days next year. Ignore the older generation, spoiled, snobby reviews. We are older and we loved it. You will too!
  • This is the nicest, most diverse, active and best run KOA I have ever been to. They have tent and RV spots, cabins and a few trailers for lodging. There are almost always activities planned (and well run)and you can't beat the scenery or climate. The staff and owners are wonderful. There is an excellent general store down the street.
