  • Son and I were looking for hiking trails and read about this park. It had several trails that were good to hike. We went on the trail across the swamp that led to the overlook. It was moderately stren...  more »
  • This is a beautiful piece of nature. The pond/Lake is gorgeous but the rules don't allow swimming or motorized boating. The trails aren't marked as well as they could be. The boardwalk is gorgeous but...  more »
  • Smallish park, but have never seen it crowded. Lake for fishing, but no motorized vessels. Only canoe and kayak. Great hiking trails. One trail leads to a fire tower that you can climb to the top for ...  more »

  • Good trails, beautiful scenery, all park personnel we met were nice and helpful. Rustic camping in a quiet peaceful setting. Bathhouses are clean and well maintained . Good park to get away from it all, but has as good cell reception as I do in Memphis.
  • Love Big Hill Pond State Park. I live within a few miles so I go there often. Really enjoy the peacefulness of the area and the boardwalk hike. A few weeks ago the Ranger even let my friends and I go on a nighttime hike... it was awesome !!!!
  • I have never camped here, but have been here several times to hike, as I live close by. The Turkey Call Trail is my favorite. This loop takes you across the boardwalk, to the observation tower and by the lake. The scenery is beautiful and it is usually peaceful.
  • Great park. Loved the hike to the Tower and shelter. Would really love to see distance markers on the signs so I know how long I'm hiking and do some people not understand pick in, pick out but hey at least I got a new hoodie and lunch box lol
  • Beautiful, untouched property, like hiking in fairyland with the hills laden with trees and ferns and the tiny path. Love the tower because I can be on top of the world and feel that wind!
