  • This is newly renovated. It includes a playground, picnic area and dancing fountains for the children. There is also a bike trail running along it. The car park is large, but it can get very busy.
  • I stopped by to check out the wind and waves from a nearby tropical storm. The place was parked with similar like minded folk. Its a nice little beach park with a play area for kids.
  • The playground is in dire need of updating & expansion. Chipped paint, very small play area. The consignment clean and pleasant. The beach at low tide very muddy.
  • came here for the first time with my 1 year old son and mother, SUCH a great, kid-friendly place, and FREE to boot! the parking lot is small, but there are a couple free lots down the street, and there's always metered parking which isnt THAT beats $20-$25 parking for any of the bigger beaches. The only thing I missed, is that there is no diaper changing station in the bathrooms?? Unless there was a family restroom somewhere that I missed... otherwise, great place!!!
  • ***Dog friendly beach!*** This beach is exactly what I've been looking for after living in Plymouth for years. It's not on any list of places to go swimming with your dog in the area, for some strange reason. It's a natural, open area with a rocky pebble sand beach. There's plenty of room for your dog to go to the bathroom before getting oceanside. Kids and dogs can share the area easily. There's a splash pad section that kids can run through where dogs aren't allowed - I completely understand even though my dog would love going in there too to play with the water. There's also a playground with equipment on the far side of the park near the splash pad and a concession stand that's open. I haven't tried it yet. The only negative is the parking situation, which has been covered in other reviews. This beach would be 5* from me except for the lack of parking, especially handicap spots. I'm disabled and there are only 2 designated handicap parking spots for the whole beach. I'm able to walk short distances but I'd avoid this beach in a wheelchair or using my walker due to the terrain and difficulty with parking. Luckily, my husband/caretaker can drop me off but it is a problem for everyone, especially the disabled. Tips for coming with your dog: Always carry your dog's tags with you, even if you don't want them attached to his/her collar when swimming. Only allow your dog off-leash if he/she is trained and reliable with recall (a/k/a comes to you when you call). Our shiba inu loves to swim but doesn't come when called, so we bought a cat leash to attach to her collar when swimming. When she won't come, we have some way of getting to her. There are "swim at your own risk" signs. It's the ocean and there's no lifeguard. Bring floating toys or balls that your dog can handle when swimming. There aren't many naturally-occurring toys like sticks around so you may want to bring your own. I recommend bringing chairs to sit in instead of towels to lay on due to the terrain. Also, for the same reason, I recommend using water shoes with a decent sole (e.g. Teva sandals). Bring fresh drinking water for your dog, who might swallow salt water when excited and playful. They might throw up or have diarrhea if they swallow too much of it, so keep an eye on that. Give your pup breaks when swimming to check in. Many water-loving dogs won't stop even though they're tired! You may wish to use a dog life jacket. I hope you enjoy it as we did!
  • Nice park. Swings and play set for kids with sand to cushion the falls. There is also a snack booth/cafe in site. Great sea views!
  • Good place to play. Wonderful splash pad, only complaint is some of the playground equipment needed some repair on 8-17-16.
  • Beach, splash pad and playground. What more can you ask for? They also have bathrooms and food.
