Mayflower II, Plymouth

3.9
#1 of 6 in Historic Sites in Plymouth
See the scale replica of one of America's most famous boats at Mayflower II, built in the 1950s in Devon, England. This boat actually sailed to Plymouth to replicate the Mayflower's original voyage to the "New World" in 1620. Since then, the wooden ship has resided in the United States, offering visitors an opportunity to admire a great feat of maritime engineering. Try to imagine how 102 people fit aboard a ship of this size to make the original 10-week journey 400 years ago. • A great place for a walk and picnic.very relaxing by the water. Lots of benches to site. Great stores a cross the street and lots of history
  • Good visit. Wished the Mayflower II was there. Why would they drydock the most important thing people come to see in tourist season? Bring a shitpot full of money. I don't think you can by anything that cost under 5 bucks.
  • The Mayflower 2 is in CT right now being rehabbed, but it's pretty cool when docked here. Surprisingly tiny but very well recreated, Mayflower 2 is worth a visit. Plymouth Rock is underwhelming no matter what your expectations are.
  • The ship is gone for 2 years. It would be nice if this was on the web site instead of saying open until 5.
  • Really cool place to visit with historically accurate portrayals by actors. It helps you get a real feel for what life was like and what they had to go through to come across the ocean. Very interesting and fun.
