See the scale replica of one of America's most famous boats at Mayflower II, built in the 1950s in Devon, England. This boat actually sailed to Plymouth to replicate the Mayflower's original voyage to the "New World" in 1620. Since then, the wooden ship has resided in the United States, offering visitors an opportunity to admire a great feat of maritime engineering. Try to imagine how 102 people fit aboard a ship of this size to make the original 10-week journey 400 years ago. • Thanks to all the guides on the Mayflower II. Very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. We had the opportunity to see and hear of facts we never knew or had heard about in our studies.

  • Amazing to see what life on the Mayflower must have been like. Knowledgeable staff. Great recreation of artifacts. Take as much time as you need. It would be great to have a short historical video available or available online so visitors fully understand the context.
  • We visited the ship not long after it opened, and jumped aboard quickly before the bus full of tourists. The exhibit before boarding was well done, but slightly more reading than our group wanted to do on an early Monday morning. The ship was great- and they had several guides answering all of our questions. The guides who acted more naturally were great- the ones who had preplanned speeches were a bit stiff.
  • It was very neat to see the Mayflower, but I wish it were more of a guided tour. The crew was very informative and friendly, but there were several times I wanted to ask a question or know what something was and they were busy answering other questions so I never got a chance. It was definitely worth going, but not stroller friendly (it's a boat) so prepare to carry your baby up and down stairs.
  • All the reviews saying how “underwhelming” and “boring” the ship is is stupid it’s not the ships fault that you need keys constantly jangled in your face for entertainment. The ship was a fun experience and the tickets were cheap! $10 is a fair price for the walk around experience and it’s so cool to be able to go on the ship and be able to see what the ship was like and it’s especially cool that it’s a 1 to 1 scale of that actual ship. I would definitely recommend this if you want a quick thing to do.
  • Kid friendly!!! Fantastic experience definitely enhanced by the knowledge staff! There are tons of kids things to touch which makes this awesome! Watching the old Mayflower movie before going made this more interesting. Imagining 128 people spending MONTHS on this ship was really gross! Can you imagine how it smelled a week in? A month in?
