  • It's the Wandering Yank here. Mrs. Yank and I recently visited the wine country for the Crush weekend and visited 11 wineries in 2 days. Time to give my liver a rest.... This was one of the better one...  read more »
  • Every person I spoke to about Plymouth wineries recommended Runquist. I normally avoid wineries located right on the highway because many of them rely upon easy tourist traffic rather than quality win...  read more »
  • Wines are always top notch. I have never tried a Jeff Runquist wine that wasn't good. Love it and highly recommend it. The Runquist Cooper Barbera is my all-time favorite.
  • I was in the food and wine industry for many years; 15 +. Runquist wines were by far my favorite to sell. They are the wine that I buy to give as gifts and to host a nice a dinner with. The cost for the quality is leaps and bounds over any California wine out there. Every time I opened a bottle at a table I knew they were going to enjoy it. And the cost at a place where anyone who came into the restaurant I worked at (Grange Sacramento) could afford. It was the gem on the list (that's what I always ask the server when I go out, "what's the hidden gem.") Well, it's Jeff Runquist, what varietal do you typically like to enjoy, I ask them? Oh, that's very similar to this unique varietal that they produce. And so on and so on..... This is a must try, you will not only be happy, but grateful. Trust me! The petite sirah is my favorite, most recommended and guaranteed to blow your socks off. When you see this on a menu for around 50 bucks at a restaurant, it holds up to any wine at $100 or more, I guarantee it. Keep doing what you're doing, I'm sure you are reeping the rewards. :)
  • Just visited Jeff's tasting room on 5/21 on a recommendation from some locals we met at another winery here in Amador. Glad we stopped in!!! We enjoyed all the wines at the tasting, which I can say was the first time that has happened. We purchased a case of the best Petite Sirah we ever tasted, and joined the wine club as well.
  • I love their wines. I found out about them from my brother in law. While we've never been to their tasting room, we are both members due to one person that visited them and encouraged us to join their club. The wine is fantastic. I love getting my shipments in the mail. This winery will be on my list when I visit the area soon! Kudos to Runquist from Atlanta, GA!
  • Had the 2013 Cabernet Franc and it's the best wine I've ever tasted. Smooth, fruity and just what I've been looking for in a wine. Loved it
  • Continues to make the best reds in this area. Excellent wines from California vineyards & growers. I've been a club member for the last 8 yrs.
