I've always wanted to visit Heyburn State Park to see the St. Joe River flow through/between four lakes to get to Lake Coeur d'Alene. The old railroad bridge, now part of the Trail of the Coeur d'Alen... more »
My wife and I only had a chance to stay here one nightly but, it left an impression. We will definitely be back next year. The camp sites are right on a cliff next to the lake with paths to walk down.... more »
They have a campground, small cabins, bike trails across the lake. Make sure to ride to Harrison. Just a drive through is nice. more »
WE just came back from Chatcolet campground in Heyburn state park and had a great time. Beautiful scenery, quiet campground, great place for biking. I want to say the camp host at Chatcolet were wonderful and great host. Way to go Ann and Chet.
Nice camp ground, spots are a little small, and the neighbors were a little loud. Ut the area is beautiful with a lot of things to do like a bike path, hiking, and a couple beaches, not to mention a lake and boat launch if you have a boat.
The park has changed alot!! Brand new bathrooms that are cleaned every morning by the camp hosts and they're so kind you when you first enter. There's a hiking trail and the bike trail is fun for the whole family with no major hills and restrooms every now and then. The park is kept very clean and people who camp here respect others. I highly recommend this camping spot.
I rode my bike with my mom out here. Great path and beautiful scenery and wildlife.
