  • Great campground on the lake. Lots of trees around the spots giving some privacy. Nice trails. We stayed at spot#45 with electric and water. A lot of bees just a heads up if you’re allergic. No mosquitoes. Showers/bathrooms aren’t bad. AT&T cell service is very spotty, Verizon is pretty good.
  • This is a beautiful park. Most of the sites provide ample shade to keep you cool during the hot weather. There is a good tent pad on most of the sites that I checked out. The bathrooms and park is very clean and well maintained. The showers are free. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Just down the road from the camping area there is nice beach with a swimming area, docks and boat launch.
  • Heyburn used to be my favorite campground. It has tons of great trees for hammock camping. I love sleeping in my hammock under the stars. I drove for hours and when I arrived at Heyburn I found out that hammocks have been banned throughout the entire park. What a disappointment. A warning when I made the reservation would have been nice. I would recommed camping literally anywhere else in Idaho.
  • Remote campground on the WA/ID border, great for getting away but still have cell service. The grounds are decently maintained, and they have $5 firewood bundles for sale. The visitor center is brand new, and the staff was very helpful. My only complaint is that the price per night was a bit high considering the size of the actual lot. Still would like to go back in the future though.
  • The road is beyond nice. It has not been maintained and the pot holes are like craters. I saw a nice new rig pull in with a flat tire on the most miserable evening last Thursday. Make sure your tires are maintained. The park host is amazing. I locked myself out of my trailer and George the host had me in in a flash. It is a darker place with not a lot of sunlight. The bathrooms are clean.
