Science Museum Nature / Park
Featuring replicas of more than 200 life-size dinosaurs, Dinosaur World gives you the chance to walk among prehistoric predators. This outdoor museum covers 8 hectares (20 acres), with paved walkways guiding you through the natural habitats of various dinosaur species. In addition to the museum's self-guided tour, there are several staff-led, interactive experiences to round out your visit. Sift through materials looking for shark teeth, stingray barbs, and mosasaur teeth fossils. Embark on a tour led by a paleontologist through a cave, a dig site, and a workstation, and test your knowledge at the Triviasaurus Rex game show. The small museum inside the venue features three exhibits showcasing prehistoric fossils, fossils native to Florida, and motion-activated dinosaur models of Tyrannosaurus rex, stegosaurus, pterodactyl, and several others. • We had a great time exploring the grounds. The kids were able to dig for fossils and go on a cave tour.  more »

  • I think this is a very affordable trip for a family with small children. The park consist of trails and giant dinosaur statues. The park is well kept and the trails are easy to navigate. The only negative is that there are no food options. I recommend bringing in food specially if you have small children. They have a nice playground and a "fossil" digging site. You get to keep three rocks from the digging site which is a nice souvenir for the kids. This park is great for kids who love dinosaurs.
  • My little brother (6) loved playing here. I wasn't expecting too much, but it was pretty awesome. It's basically a really big park, but with dinosaurs everywhere and a couple extra things to do. We brought our cooler and packed lunch; it was nice to eat in the picnic area while he played in the park right next to it. Fun day, I'd recommend it to anyone with kids interested in dinosaurs.
  • It's not a very big place so don't expect to spend all day. The huge dinosaur statues are pretty cool. There for about an hour and it was way too hot outside to enjoy much. The gift shop has a/c so spent another hour in there cooling down and spent More money. Should have just visited the gift shop and not spent admission to go into the park.
  • Very big place. Lots of shaded and protected tables to bring your lunch to. Dog friendly. Great for 5 to 12 tear olds. Good for all other ages. Huge gift shop. They seem to be doing a decent job of keeping up with paint. One star knocked off for the lack of realism in many of the dinosaurs. Overall a fun and not too expensive stop.
  • My 4-year old was very happy with all the dinosaurs and the fossils that she found in "the dig". I was happy with peaceful trails expertly built in a beautiful forest-like park with water features. Older kids (especially homeschoolers) will find many educational opportunities as well. Most of the site is heavily shaded, which often means the difference between pleasure and suffering here in Florida!
