Dinosaur World, Plant City

4.0
#2 of 7 in Things to do in Plant City
Featuring replicas of more than 200 life-size dinosaurs, Dinosaur World gives you the chance to walk among prehistoric predators. This outdoor museum covers 8 hectares (20 acres), with paved walkways guiding you through the natural habitats of various dinosaur species. In addition to the museum's self-guided tour, there are several staff-led, interactive experiences to round out your visit. Sift through materials looking for shark teeth, stingray barbs, and mosasaur teeth fossils. Embark on a tour led by a paleontologist through a cave, a dig site, and a workstation, and test your knowledge at the Triviasaurus Rex game show. The small museum inside the venue features three exhibits showcasing prehistoric fossils, fossils native to Florida, and motion-activated dinosaur models of Tyrannosaurus rex, stegosaurus, pterodactyl, and several others. • This is an amazing place for small children who love dinosaurs and have a great imagination. And I loved it too for a day of fun.  more »
  • Well worth the extra for the dino gems as our two little ones (6 and 4) enjoyed that. The staff are friendly and welcoming, some of the dinosaurs look a bit tired but all in all well worth a visit wit...  more »

  • Great fun for young and old.... and dogs too. I have attended kids parties here that were really fun for the kids... activities, playgrounds, a small museum and lots of life size dino statues in lush, natural settings. Well behaved dogs on leashes are welcome and our pups love it. Only service dogs are allowed in the museum.... but pets are allowed everywhere else. Everything is clean, well maintained and safe. There are lots of coveted picnic areas with tables throughout the park. There are vending machines but I would encourage bringing your own water, drinks, snacks or lunch.... you are allowed to bring food in. Check the website but i believe you can pay for a kids party with some extras included or you can bring all your own party supplies and use the picnic areas. Great price for a fun activity for the whole family.
  • Fantastic place for the 3 to 10 year old crowd. Great realism great Boardwalk Trails through nicely set up dinosaur surroundings. Do you open can scare the littler ones but all in all worth the trip. Any entertainment park where you can spend three to four hours for under 20 bucks is a deal. Point Blank. Bring a small cooler with your own food and drinks, bring a dog on a leash if you want, no other Park offers anything like this.
  • Great place for kids. We stayed rain and all! My 7 year old daughter and her cousin loved it. The staff is knowledgeable and engaging. A little pricey but they really enjoyed. A FL classic!
  • Really enjoy dinosaur world! We bought year passes for the whole family, which give you discounts at other attractions in the area, too. At first we thought it would be a bit cheesy, but it's actually really well done! Museum is just the right size for younger kids, the playgrounds are fun and separated into age-appropriate parks, and the dino walk at the back has a lot to offer and gives the kids a good walk to burn off energy. Only downside is you have to pay separately for some of the park activities.
  • This is what you call a tourist trap. Horrible place and so not worth the money. It is a very small place and only about a dozen of dinosaur, the dinosaur are far away and you can't even get close enough for good pictures. Florida had a hurricane in September and we went to Dinosaur for Xmas and they still didn't even clean up, lots of down branches and trees. The small museum had small dollar tree dinosaur as display 😂 The fossil you dig were nothing but shark tooth which I don't know what it has to do with Dinosaur 😂 There's no food stands so bring your own snacks and food. The only thing I likes was the gift shop store. If you want to take your child to see dinosaur you are better off going to T-REX Cafe in Disney Springs. They have nice Dinosaur and even a play area and dig for fossils and for FREE all you pay if for food if you decided to eat there. Again save your money and just go to T-REX Cafe for a nice time.
