Dinosaur World, Plant City

3.9
#2 of 7 in Things to do in Plant City
Featuring replicas of more than 200 life-size dinosaurs, Dinosaur World gives you the chance to walk among prehistoric predators. This outdoor museum covers 8 hectares (20 acres), with paved walkways guiding you through the natural habitats of various dinosaur species. In addition to the museum's self-guided tour, there are several staff-led, interactive experiences to round out your visit. Sift through materials looking for shark teeth, stingray barbs, and mosasaur teeth fossils. Embark on a tour led by a paleontologist through a cave, a dig site, and a workstation, and test your knowledge at the Triviasaurus Rex game show. The small museum inside the venue features three exhibits showcasing prehistoric fossils, fossils native to Florida, and motion-activated dinosaur models of Tyrannosaurus rex, stegosaurus, pterodactyl, and several others. My 2.5 year old enjoyed it. It was something nice to do. I definitely think there is a lot of room to make this a better and more interactive attraction. It is a very low maintenance facility with a small staff. Lots of walking trails with dinosaurs and scenes throughout. Great place for pictures. Must bring your own snacks and drinks as there is no place to purchase food in the park other than a soda machine. Would love to see some upgrades in the near future to this park. This place has so much potential.

this is a beautiful park with dinosaur statues scattered throughout. we went here for my son's 3rd birthday party and it was a blast. there are two great playgrounds that the kids really enjoyed, the fossil dig was a little disappointing, but the gem area is definitely worth it; for 8$ we got a lot of nice, big gemstones. the gift shop is huge and the little museum was perfect for the kiddos. if you're looking for an amusement park, this is NOT for you though. but if you're looking for a nice place to meander and let the kids play while learning facts about different dinosaurs, this great. we will definitely be coming back!

I think this is a very affordable trip for a family with small children. The park consist of trails and giant dinosaur statues. The park is well kept and the trails are easy to navigate. The only negative is that there are no food options. I recommend bringing in food specially if you have small children. They have a nice playground and a "fossil" digging site. You get to keep three rocks from the digging site which is a nice souvenir for the kids. This park is great for kids who love dinosaurs.

I was surprised by how much was there. It was packed with lots of Dinosaurs, fossils and information. Most of it is nicely shaded, so we didn't get too overheated. There are nice, covered picnic areas. My husband and I are seniors and we enjoyed it. It's not just for kids.

My little brother (6) loved playing here. I wasn't expecting too much, but it was pretty awesome. It's basically a really big park, but with dinosaurs everywhere and a couple extra things to do. We brought our cooler and packed lunch; it was nice to eat in the picnic area while he played in the park right next to it. Fun day, I'd recommend it to anyone with kids interested in dinosaurs.
