  • Come for the apple stuff, stay for the wine. I really like this place. It's tucked back of Apple Hill with great valley views. In fact they have big deck, picnic benches and grassy areas. Good for the...  more »
  • The tasting room is small but lovely. The staff is helpful and informative, very friendly. We love Lava Cap wine. We have sat out on the deck, enjoying the sunset with our wine. Highly recommend Lava ...  more »
  • The views over the Valley is super nice, and anyone can enjoy this with a glass of wine. The tasting room is unfortunately already Friday crowded and a bit too small measure for the crowds. The white wines are fruity, balanced (balanced in sugar and acidity) and rather type the "easy - drinking" for the evening on the terrace. With the reds, the scheme fans something. Still fruit shaped, but with a slight twist of wood and medium to higher tannin structure. Also suitable as a dinner companion for light meals.

  • Lavacap makes great wine and has an even more amazing winery. The view is beautiful and recently my wife and I went back to enjoy their updated outdoor seating. The patio area has greatly improved. There is tons of seating of different types (chairs for couples, tables for groups, etc). However, I docked a star (I should really dock it two) because they are "dog friendly". I get they are an animal loving establishment, but we tried to enjoy a quiet glass of wine on a beautiful fall afternoon and just felt like we were at a dog park. Small dogs everywhere, barking, fighting, wrestling. It was a little much for what's supposed to be a pleasant experience. Mix that with drunk people who are not exactly in complete control of the animals and it's just... meh.. Don't let that deter you from trying their wine. It's fabulous.
  • Have not been to Winery yet, have enjoyed their wines on many occasions. One of My Favorites!!
  • It always feels like a "club" and you're the new member! Very friendly staff and I've had many great conversations with fellow visitors (4 or 5 visits over the years). The deck is a nice place to relax with a glass of your favorite vino and a snack- Nice local view of the valley and hills too. Have also enjoyed music when we happen to arrive during an event- nice bonus!
  • Nice winery. Good vibe. Music outside. I dig it.
