  • Great park and trails. Have ridden my horse on their trails and had a blast with a picknick lunch, very beautiful and easy to navigate.  more »

  • Amazing park that has such a beautiful landscape. The wild life roams all throughout the park, I saw at least 10 deer on my short trip. I went to feed the birds and they landed right in my hand! One of my favorite parks around Rochester.
  • Mendon Ponds Park is and has been for over 15 years our go-to-place for all things nature: a beautiful set of ponds and rolling hills and woodland that's criss-crossed by miles and miles of trails. Enjoy the cool shade of old forests in a hot and humid Rochester summer, take the Kids to fly a kite on a stormy autumn afternoon or grab your cross-country skis and hit the trails in mid-winter. For us it never gets old and, best of all, it's only a short ride away and you can leave the city, the burbs, work -what have you- behind you. I would really miss it if ever I had to move away.
  • I visited this park in late October 2017. I drove up to the Pond, and it was pretty. I wanted to hike the nature trail by the nature center. I parked at the Nature Center. Behind the Nature Center is the Eco-Garden. It has a large variety of plants and wildlife. Because it was late October, the flowers were all gone, and the garden wasn't as pretty if it was in the Spring and Summer. I hiked the Nature trail, which was a little more than a mile around. The trail didn't take me to any of the 2 ponds, but I got to enjoy the fall foliage. The trail was clean, and there were signs with information about the trees. I came across an artwork of 2 birds that was beautifully painted. Dogs are not allowed on this nature trail behind the Nature Center. Around the nature center, there are artwork made with wood. What caught my eyes is a book carved with a large tree stump. Amazing. Be careful if you decide to hike this trail, I can't speak for the other trails in this park - there is a lot of deer ticks!
  • Beautiful park and huge! Seems well maintained. As dusk approached we were packing up to leave and watched about 10 deer slowly walking around the area we were in. Photo op!
  • I love to take my children walking on the Bird Song Trail. We also visit Wild Wings (a birds of prey sanctuary on site) first to see the birds and buy bird seed to feed all of the birds on the bird song trail. The trail is wide and, circular and pretty. I have definitely pushed my large wheeled stroller with no issue. The trail is also very short. The perfect length for toddlers, if you ask me.
