  • A good sized park that gives you a reason to get outdoors all year round. It's common to see people kayaking and canoeing, riding horses, riding their bicycles, flying kites, running, cross-country skiing, hiking, and more every time you stop in. The ponds are great to get out on and enjoy without being on top of people. There are plenty of trails, some great wildlife and the friendliest chickadees you'll ever meet. It's real gem of the Rochester area and if you like nature you should make it a point to visit.
  • Nice place for small hikes. Beautiful location. Some cross country skiers when I had gone which was pretty cool. Some parking, but no one has a problem if you park to once side of the lot even if not in a space. People bring their dogs regardless of the signs though so watch out for poop in case people don't pick it up.
  • Large and beautiful park for a hike, or for cross country skiing, or to fish or paddle on Thousand Acre pond. Wide variety of landscapes and terrains makes the park interesting and challenging for any level of activities.
  • I like Wild Wings refuge(refuge for predator birds), they are doing great job. Trails near refuge are my favorite in Mendon Ponds park
  • We can hike, canoe and ride our bikes all in the same day, park is cared for and it's an excellent area for a picnic
