It's a unique experience to walk along the river(s)' edge or just sit by the fountain and people-watch on a nice day. Lovely place
Stopped by as the start of a GAP bike trip and was really impressed by the layout and the views. Pictures don't really do it justice, we ended up getting off to a slow start to the trip as we took pic... read more »
I visit this park at least once a week. Its very beautiful and big. The view is really nice during sunset. The restrooms are clean. The park is well maintained. But there is no parking near the park. There is off street parking which is always full. We park two blocks away and walk to the park.
Beautiful park that has been very well maintained. Not to crowded at all during the day. A great place to get away from the hustle of the city and feel an open space. Love it!
I'm a Pittsburgh native but would rarely travel downtown unless necessary. Now, I work downtown so I began to explore the most popular places. This (so far but doubt it'll change!) is mine and my youngest daughter's favorite place here! The scenery is beautiful, wide open space, easy to walk around, with great views in all directions! It's so relaxing & peaceful. This spot makes me proud to admit I'm from Pittsburgh!!! I advise everyone -natives & tourists - to check it out on a nice day. Heck, even on a gloomy, cloudy day it's STILL awesome!!! God Bless.
What a beautiful park, especially by the rivers and fountain. It's very open and plenty of room to not feel crowded. We happened to be here for the Three Rivers Regatta where there are big bands playing and lots of vendors. While it's not as big as Austin's Zilker Park, it's still big enough to hold your typical crowd of groups and those with children. Public bathrooms for your use by the fountain, right across from PNC Park. Great views.
Lovely view of the city. Great waterfront access. Even if you visit at an ungodly hour like 02:00 the view of the city lights and bridges is just perfect. For people looking to relax: 10/10 would recommend.
