  • I am in love with their aquarium. It's absolutely the most beautiful thing I have seen in all of Pittsburgh. They have so many interesting exhibits, all very interactive. Great for young kids, or very...  read more »
  • Be ready for a fair amount of walking, but if you have children (or grandchildren) they will love this zoo. Including the long inclined moving stairway to enter the place! The aquarium is impressive a...  read more »
  • As far as zoos go this is a very good one. The problem is the poor animals just dont have enough room. I guess to do right by the animals you really need a wildlife preserve but there is not enough sp...  read more »
  • The zoo is very clean, they are always adding new events, and try making learning fun for kids. The exhibits are well maintained. A great deal for a season pass for a family, only $95 per year up to 4 kids. They have cheaper food, and a more upscale dine in cafe where the giraffes and zebras can be viewed while you dine.
  • A really nice zoo. Lots of exhibits. My grandbaby loves it. A large zoo that has clean exhibits, knowledgeable. Good food places. Lots of walking but handicapped accessible. Wheelchair and stroller rental. Nice gift shops. Lots of parking. Memberships available with great discounts.
  • This is a tremendous zoo. It isn't overly large so if you only have a couple hours you can see pretty much everything. They have all the major animals are have really improved some of the exhibits in the past 10 years. There is a great kids area work a playground and petting zoo. The aquarium in great. In the winter they let the penguins march outside and you can get right next to them. It's really fun! Check the zoo website for details.
  • observation areas not in the best locations for animal viewing. Really expensive. Really far walk from parking to entrance. Many of the changes over the years were bad design choices. Animals seemed well cared for. Worth going once, but that's about it
  • This zoo is absolutely wonderful! The best activity to do in Pittsburgh (if you are not a sports fan). While I don't mind about the animals but walking around the place just makes it a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is almost up to Disney World level (like Magic Kingdom, it beats out the rest though). If I had to choose either Kennywood or this, I would choose this... besides, Kennywood is going downhill lately. GO TO THIS PLACE, EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT A FAN OF ANIMALS... PLEASE!!!!!!!
