  • Who knew that Pittsboro, NC would have a bunch of tigers and other big cats. Very unique attraction. We took the twilight tour which was very good. Amazing hour big these cats are.
  • Yesterday, my family (3 generations... 11, 13, 49, 61, 94) took the public tour at Carolina Tiger Rescue. The weather was perfect for a mid-Fall afternoon, and the wooded grounds were resplendent in c...  more »
  • Took our 5 teenagers and two elderly grandparents to the Rescue. They all loved it. You will be able to get very up close to some of the most majestic creatures in the world. This probably isn't great...  more »

  • I had such a great time. The staff was really nice and had fantastic jokes. It was truly a unique experience to see the animals so close.
  • My 11 year old daughter went on a tour for her birthday & loved it so much she just completed day camp. Learned a lot and her love and respect of these animals was multiplied. Knowledgeable staff that loves their work and it shows.
  • We went for a Twilight Tour and it was amazing! The animals were so active. Our tour guide (I think her name was Marissa) was so funny, informative, and passionate about these animals. The grounds were very nice and there wasn't too much walking but it was nice to be outdoors.
  • I love what they do, rescuing animals from improper owners, and that they are a non-profit, but the quality of the habitats for the big cats wasn't great. Also, since they don't warn you before-hand, WEAR PANTS. No matter how hot it is. You will be walking through areas where there are fire ants and poison ivy. I got attacked by fire ants myself while I was there. It's not fun.
  • Groups are small and the tour guide was the associate director. We heard great stories about every cat we came across. The food truck came around and we saw Lions fed too! They take fantastic care of their animals much like you would treat your cat. I highly recommend for all ages. You will never get this close to a lion that will say 'Hi!' in its own way.
