  • The pier and the walkway along both sides of it is a must for a view of the entire bay. There are nice restaurants and lots of souvenir shops in the area next to the pier. The best clam chowder can be...  more »
  • This pier and surrounding beach/shop area are just like nostalgic San Clemente. It's a step back in time and fun to walk around.  more »
  • Lots of places for meals and sweet treats, great shopping for beachy clothes and souvenirs, good showers and bathrooms, and, of course, Splash Cafe!  more »

  • Excellent pier. However, the pier is temporarily CLOSED for renovations. No completion date is final, but expected to take about two to two and a half years. Pier should be nearly complete in 2019. Thankfully the beach is accessible.
  • Beautiful views, great for whale and dolphin watching, taking pictures, spotting wildlife, and fishing (just watch out for the surfers!) Fishing shop right on the pier. Pier is right off downtown Pismo. Just be ready for the chilly wind and bird poo. Otherwise, it's great!
  • Love splash cafe, salt water taffy and cinnamon rolls! But parking sucks! Besides that, the beach is nice and decently clean at times.
  • Really beautiful view, and wonderful/lively area. We were doing some tourism from Canada and the whole Pismo beach area was one of the best parts of our trip.
  • Visited this place during spring, it was a nice place there are plenty of restaurants and vendors also plenty of parking, the rest rooms were just like in any other public park the beach is fairly clean but overall I think that the fact that they have the outlet mall right by the beach and the ability to drive your 4X4 on the beach is an insentive for some people, the prices overall in shops or restaurants is high including the outlet stores but it is a nice place. I don't see my self visiting again anytime soon but if I happen to be near I would not mind stopping by, I would not make a special trip just to visit this place.
