The Tampa Bay Automobile Museum, located in Pinellas Park, Florida in the Tampa Bay Area, displays historic automobiles from the 20th century. All of the vehicles displayed are from the collection of Alain Cerf, a French entrepreneur.
The collection is focused on cars which demonstrate special creativity and imagination in their history and engineering. This includes rare early front-wheel drive cars, Tatra rear engine cars, rear-engine Mercedes-Benz, Citroën cars, the only surviving car by French engineer Émile Claveau, and a unique working full-scale replica of the first self-propelled mechanical vehicle, the fardier of Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot. • What a delight. Reminds me of the Mullin Museum in Oxnard. That collection admittedly is a bit higher end (i.e. Bugatti SC Atlantic, Talbot Lago 150 teardrop) , but the spirit here is the same...

  • Amazing out of the way Museum in industrial park. One of a kind pieces and all of them are tagged and drivable for the owner/family. A must stop for any serious auto enthusiast. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable
  • Fantastic Cars, Fantastic Staff! The cars are displayed so that you can stand right next to them, walk all the way around them, getting great views of the interiors and special features. The staff is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. They are willing to explain why each car is special and why it is in the collection. We have a car like one in their collection , but not anywhere near the condition of their's, they took the time to answer all my questions to help in our restoration. Certainly worth a visit while in the area or as a reason to visit the area.
  • Amazing gem! Fantastic collection of antique/vintage vehicles based on innovations in engineering and designs. Some are one of a kind. Lots of interesting facts about each one. All the refurbishing and maintenance is done by their own staff and are road ready. Staff is also great! Informative and enthusiastic.
  • The Tampa Bay Auto Museum is excellent for the auto enthusiast or novice. The vehicles are in showroom condition and each has a small plaque near it displaying vital information about the vehicle model. Most of the vehicles are ones the average person will not know existed. It is requested that no one touch the cars but there are no barriers thus allowing you to view the inside as well. There is really no need to touch. The museum was staffed by two gentlemen who were quite knowledgeable about the autos and more than willing to make sure you enjoy your visit. If you leave with any unanswered questions, it's because you didn't ask. I found the admission price extremely reasonable for what you are going to see and learn. If ever in the Tampa Bay area, I suggest you set aside a couple of hours and visit the museum.
  • Very pleasantly surprised. From the outside you would never believe what is inside. There is an amazing collection of over 70 top quality antique automobiles. All are beautifully restored. It is really worth seeing.
