  • We needed something to do on a rainy day and decided to make the drive to check it out. There was more to see than I was expecting after reading some other reviews. The touch tanks are fun! We had a.....  more »
  • I love this place and it is the second time I was able to visit. The displays are wonderful here and the price for admission is very reasonable for an attraction this size I think. You can tell the....  more »
  • Lots of aquariums feel overcrowded, both because there are too many displays on top of each other and because there isn't enough space to move around, but that's not the case here. Also, although...  more »
  • Travelers, this is an affordable, family friendly aquarium that is a lot of fun and educational. There is a tank where folks can pet baby sharks and rays. I love petting the sharks and the rays. There are always aquarium folks around to explain and monitor what happens in the tank. The others exhibits are education and interesting as well. We recommend. Enjoy.
  • Very cute and lovely aquarium! Well taken care of and super nicely decorated. You can tell everyone loves the animals that works here. I really loved seeing all the places for kids, it's great having kids learn to take care of our oceans! The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. I especially loved the divers, and the snakes!
  • NC does a fantastic job with their aquariums. This location isn't the largest one in our state (I think Fort Fisher is), but it does things well and is actually my favorite location. Of course the exhibits are specific to NC. Price is reasonable and you can spend several hours here. The layout flows, is easy to walk, and the exhibits are well maintained. Like most aquariums, you have several exhibits, touch tanks, a theater, a gift shop, etc. This location separates itself as a sea turtle rehab center. Sea turtles that have been injured from human interaction are brought here to get them back up to speed to be released. Others are kept here if this isn't possible. The back has a nature trail that takes you through wetlands typical of NC. There is a boardwalk where you will see crabs among other wildlife in their natural habitat. Wear mosquito repellent! Plenty of parking and never seems too busy.
  • One of the BEST aquariums I’ve ever Been to! Such helpful knowledgeable caring staff. Nice air conditioning and tons of hands on exhibits PLUS they’re a huge store and Dairy Queen. MUST SEE?!! They’re store was very reasonably priced with a lot of variety to choose from! The shark exhibit was amazing
  • This is the perfect place to spend the day with your family anytime of the year, from the playground and hiking trail outside, to the Beautiful and well-kept tanks inside! There is always a reason to explore and find something new! (And You’re not gonna find a better value than the season pass). If you’re looking for something to do, this is a can’t miss opportunity. Very clean and family friendly
