  • Just a short drive from Dallas and Fort Worth. Lake is awesome for fishing and swimming. Camping is safe, family friendly and clean! Bathrooms are VERY clean! Staff are wonderful! Nature and seclusion is perfect! My family vacations here multiple times a year. We all LOVE it!
  • The beaches there are so fun to wade and play in, and nature of the park is absolutely beautiful. There are dozens of trails in the park where you can take a walk and enjoy the natural beauty of the wood that surround the bike trail. You can also find many animal feces so be prepared for any sludges you see on the sidewalk or beside. There is a fishing area at the park, which is a bonus, but be strong with your bait, 'cause it's probably going to be wrenched out of your line.
  • So far, this is my favorite lake park in Texas. They've got plenty of room for camping. But, my favorite part so far has always been the lake. It's the perfect spot for a sunny summer day. They have grills, so bring food and a bathing suit and plan for a great time. They also have volleyball courts and playgrounds in a shaded area.
  • Beautiful shores just steps away from the campsites. Perfect for boating, kayaking, and pretty much any water activity anyone would like. Very well kept boat ramps, picnic areas, and even a designated beach. The trails are great for hiking, mountain biking, and running. There are also designated trails for horseback riding. All in all, a great place to spend a day, or several days with the family.
  • Really nice state park with lots of amenities. If you like outdoor and marine activities I definitely recommend this park. If you are a frequent guest the yearly state park pass is the only way to go.
