  • The Island is a nice place to visit. The Christmas lights are beautiful. The area is safe and well kept. We rode the wheel and was happy each car was heated, since the temperature was in the 30's.

  • Visited during the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday season. Great decorations and atmosphere. A mix of interesting shops (game store, hat shop) and standard tourist type shops (candy shop, "moonshine") and generally well kept. It was nice to be off and away from the parkway noise and felt like a smaller, more personal experience. The fountain was a nice focal point as well.
  • Great place. Family and Pet friendly! Very nice place place to sit in a rocking chair and relax by the fountain after a good meal at one of the restaurants and relax or nap while your other half spends a little time shopping.
  • Great variety of shops and fun for the whole family. Pet friendly as well! Love the interactive water display. If your not afraid of heights be sure to ride the sky wheel.
  • Nice family friendly area with unusual shops, restaurants, coffee shop, rides and games. A large show fountain entertains every half hour and a bluegrass band plays several evenings every week. My granddaughter especially loves Build-a-bear and riding on the wheel.
  • Nice location to walk around. Visited in off-season and experienced minimal crowds. Immediately got into Paula Dean's restaurant. Enjoyed the water fountain show. Nice layout, easy to find, good store options for the whole family.
