  • A local told us about the Island. We went and say the dancing water. It's just such a great place!!!
  • After visiting downtown Gatlinburg and downtown Pigeon Forge I was not necessarily looking forward to visiting another location in Pigeon Forge. I was very surprised with the level of cleanliness of t...  read more »
  • Delightful early evening experience-unique shops-respectful patrons-family atmosphere-crowded but relaxful people. Water light show to music is beatiful. The Millers, Fort Valley USA
  • Nice location to walk around. Visited in off-season and experienced minimal crowds. Immediately got into Paula Dean's restaurant. Enjoyed the water fountain show. Nice layout, easy to find, good store options for the whole family.
  • Lots to do here, but it's sooo expensive. Cost more than $70 for us to ride the big wheel. It's a cool wheel, but not $70+ cool. Everything was ridiculously expensive so we didn't do much here and spent more time on the roadside attractions.
  • The shops of The Island in Pigeon Forge are as varied as they are plentiful. Several restaurants serving delicious southern dishes and even a large Ferris Wheel that provides a wonderful view of the Great Smokey Mountains. Don't forget to stop in to Paula Dean's new venture, "The Bag Lady" sandwich shop. A nice variety of food at a reasonable price.
  • We visited Island in 2016 Spring. After looking at parking area and shuttle bus we were expecting a lot but there wasn't much in there for adults. We took the giant wheel ride which was kind of ok not worth the money we got bored after one round. Since we went there in night most of the restaurants were closed and if you are vegetarian there aren't much options there. I would not recommend this place for travelers. Only good thing was the musical water fountains that we enjoyed.
  • Pigeon Forge is slowly overtaking Gatlinburg on the tourist Department and the island shows it. Lovely shops, great dinner spots, a big ferris wheel and more to come once construction is complete.
